New Champion Photo

Tia won RWB a few times at AKC shows as a puppy, but had not managed
Winners Bitch in the US before traveling to Canada for the
Keeshond Club of Canada National Specialty in Winnipeg,
Manitoba and a weekend of All-Breed shows in Moose Jaw, Sask.
During the trip to Canada, she took RWB three times in five shows and
Winners Bitch at two of the five shows. The last day, at Moose
Jaw, she managed to beat her uncle, Yeager, to take Best of Breed
and finished up the weekend with a Group 1! Tia battled a
tendency to be very happy in the show ring and enjoyed wagging her
tail, but she still managed to do pretty well. She took RWB to a
major one day at the Denver, CO shows, WB in Garden City, KS
for her first point and WB at the Terry-All show in Brighton for
her first major win. She then encountered a triple whammy, the summer
heat, her approaching season and the big teenage blow that usually
occurs around 18-22 months of age. So, she blew coat in grand
style, which included a large percentage of her guard hairs. Cindy continued to show her, so that she would not lose her edge in the ring. While in poor coat, she took WB and RWB two of the days of the Houston,
TX shows and came back to Colorado to take RWB and WB/BOS (over Specials) at the Buckhorn Valley KC shows, still very out of coat. During the following weeks, she coated back up and was in nice coat for the next weekend of shows in Greeley, CO where she took WB both days and BOW the second day for two more major wins. Two weeks later she took WB one day at Cheyenne, WY and finished her AKC Championship the following weekend by taking WB the first day of the Evergreen KC show in Greeley, CO. Once she hit her stride and was in nice coat, she was almost unbeatable. She is an absolute joy to show, win or lose!

We travelled to British Columbia, Canada in October, 2007 to compete in the Keeshond Club of B.C. Specialty, the Group VI Specialty and three All-Breed shows and the trip was well worth the money spent! Tia took Reserve Winners Bitch at the Keeshond Specialty, then took Winners Bitch and Best of Winners (over Yeager) and Best of Opposite Sex (over the Champion Bitch Special) at the Group VI Specialty. She then took Reserve WB at the first All-Breed show, was dumped at the second All-Breed, and proceeded to complete her Canadian Championship at the third All-Breed by taking Winners Bitch and Best of Opposite Sex (once again over the Champion Bitch Special). A week later she blew coat, just in time for the Pueblo, CO shows, but thankfully she maintained coat for the Canadian circuit!

Tia was bred on three occasions, once in 2008 to Yeager producing a litter of 6 pups, again in 2009 to Gibson, Can Ch Thistledee's Braveheart Keehold, producing a litter of 8 pups, and one last time in 2010 to Gibson, once more, and she produced a litter of 7 pups on September 10, 2010. We kept one pup from the first Gibson breeding, Tabitha, and two from the second breeding, Frisco and Harper, all of whom did fantastic in the show ring and not only earned their Championships, but went on to earn their Grand Championships, with one bitch, Tabitha, completing her Silver level Grand Championship. Tia was a very nice broodbitch!
