Val
Val - Am Ch Darkenwald Avalanche
BOB at Buckhorn Valley, CO

Val was purchased from Ron and Suzette LeFebvre of Darkenwald Keeshonden
in Virginia. Val took quite some time to mature from a leggy, awkward pup into the
gorgeous boy he is today. During his path to maturity he won RWD twelve times
and WD eight times, finishing with three major wins, the last of which was at the
Waco, TX show for a four point major . He took quite some time to come into his
mature, adult coat, but once he did, Soren showed him as a Special and he took
BOB several times and won two Group 4's in the Spring of 2007.

Val has an awesome side gait, which stems from his elegant neck, short back and
nice tail set. He has very short hocks and beautiful color with excellent, distinct
markings. Val is a big boy, but carries a shorter, more form-fitting coat than
many males do today, which disguises his size, to some degree.

Val did very well during our trip to Canada in October, 2007. Once Yeager had
completed his Championship requirements, the way was clear for Val to work on
his. Val won WD at the second of the All-Breed shows and also won Winners
Dog and Best of Winners at the last of the All-Breed shows, leaving Canada
with five points toward his Canadian Championship during the one weekend. He
will most likely return to work on the other half sometime next year.
